Abstract This concluding essay gathers the questions that have guided the AEP Arirang Series and returns them to a single point of observation. Throughout this journey, we followed the path by which Han gradually became more than an individual’s enduring condition. It became a shared emotional language and, through Arirang’s repeatable and open form, entered the collective memory of a community. Yet one final question has quietly remained.
